Step-by-step explanation:

Area of floor = L x B

= 20 x 15

= 300 sq m

Area of 4 walls = 2(L+B)*H

= 2(20+15)*4

= 2*35*4 =

= 280 sq m

Cost of cementing = total area *36

= (280+300)*36

= 580*36

= 20,880 Rs

The cost of cementing is Rs. 42000

Given : A swimming pool is 40m in length, 20m in breadth and 5m in depth. Cementing rate is Rs. 30 per m².

To find : The cost of cementing.

Solution :

We can simply solve this mathematical problem by using the following mathematical process. (our goal is to calculate the cost of cementing)

First of all, we have to calculate the floor area and the area of four walls.

So,

Floor area = Length × Breadth

By, putting the available data, we get :

Floor area = (40 × 20) = 800 m²

And,

Area of four walls = [2 × (Length + Breadth)] × Height

By, putting the available data, we get :

Area of four walls = [2 × (40+20)] × 5 = 120 × 5 = 600m²

Total area for cementing :

= Area of floor + Area of four walls

= 800 + 600

= 1400 m²

Now,

Cost for 1 m² cementing = Rs. 30

Cost for 1400 m² cementing = (30 × 1400) = Rs. 42000

(This will be considered as the final result.)

Hence, the cost of cementing is Rs. 42000
