as he returns back total distance covered is 2 times the length of swimming pool.
distance =2×50 = 100 m =100/1000= 0.1 km
time taken =5 min =5/60 = 0.08 hrs
speed =distance/time taken
speed = 0.1/ 0.08 = 1.25 km/hr
distance =2×50 = 100 m =100/1000= 0.1 km
time taken =5 min =5/60 = 0.08 hrs
speed =distance/time taken
speed = 0.1/ 0.08 = 1.25 km/hr

the swimming pool is of length = 50 meters
since the boy cover the distance = 2*50= 100 meters( across the length and get back to his returning point) and here 5 mnts = 300 secs
now the formula is speed = distance /time
or speed= 100/300 metre/sec= 1/3 metre/sec
now 1 mt/ sec = 18/5 km/hr
so 1/3mt/ sec= 1*18/3*5= 6/5 km/hr= 1.20 km/hr
or speed =
