A syringe is filled with nitrogen gas to the 60.00 mL mark. The mass of the empty syringe is 25.468 g and the filled syringe is 25.537 g. The nitrogen gas is at a temperature of 21.0 °C and a pressure of 100.0 kPa. Calculate its molar volume under these conditions.

So, we firstly take the equation. Moles = Mass / Mr

Therefore, Moles of N = 1.4 / 28.0 = 0.05 moles

Then, Vol (of N) = Moles x 22.4

Therefore, Volume of N = 0.05 x 22.4 = 1.12L
