Answer :-

→ Mechanical advantage is 20 .

→ Efficiency of the machine is 100 % .

Explanation :-

We have :-

→ Load = 7400 N

→ Effort = 370 N

→ Velocity ratio = 20

________________________________

Firstly, let's calculate the mechanical advantage (M.A) :-

MA = Load/Effort

⇒ MA = 7400/370

MA = 20

Now, we know that :-

η = MA/VR × 100

⇒ η = 20/20 × 100

⇒ η = 1 × 100

η = 100 %

Some Extra Information :-

• Mechanical advantage of machine can be defined as the ratio of output force to the input force.

• Efficiency can be defined as the ratio of output to input work done/energy on the machine .

Given :-

A system of levers with the velocity ratio of 20 overcomes a resistance of 7400N when an effort of 370N is applied on it.

To Find :-

MA

Efficiency of the machine

Solution :-

MA is the abberiviation of Mechanical advantage

Mechanical Advantage = Load of body/Effort of the body

Mechanical Advantage = 7400/370

Mechanical Advantage = 740/37

Mechanical Advantage = 20/1

Mechanical Advantage = 20

Now

Efficiency = (Mechanical Advantage/Velocity) × 100

Efficiency = (20/20) × 100

Efficiency = 1 × 100

Efficiency = 100

Hence

Mechanical advantage is 20

Efficieny is 100%
