A table cloth has dimensions 3m by 120 cm. It has a hexagon of side 1.5 m designed in the centre Find the length of border required to be put all around the table cloth and the hexagon in the Centre. Also, find the total cost of border if 1 m of border costs 12.​

l = 3 m => 300cm. (as 1m = 100cm)

b = 120 cm

side of hexagon = 1.5m => 150cm

total area of hexagon = 150*6

= 900 cm

= 900/100

= 9 m

area of table cloth = l*b

= 300*120

= 36000 cm

= 36000/100

= 360 m

number of hexagon = area of a hexagon*number of hexagon = area of the table cloth

= 9*X = 360

= X = 360/9

= X = 40 designs

cost of 1 hexagon = area of hexagon*total amount cost of border

= 9*12

= InR108 (Indian Rupees)

cost of 40 hexagon = cost of border of one hexagon*40

= 108*40

= InR4320
