Hi !!

Length of table top = 2 m

And,

Breadth of table top = 1 m 50 cm = 1.5 m

Therefore,

Area of table top = L × B = 2 × 1.5 = 3 m².

Given:

The length of the table = 2 m

The breadth of the table = 1 m 50 cm

To Find:

Area of the tabletop.

Solution:

For converting the units of breadth,

By dividing the centimeter quantity by 100, it can be converted into a metered quantity.

So,

                                    Breadth = 1m~+~\frac{50}{100} \\Breadth = 1m~+~0.5m\\Breadth = 1.5 m

Now, For the Area of the tabletop,

The formula for finding the area is,

                                    Area=length*breadth\\Area=2*1.5\\Area=3~m^2

Hence the area of the tabletop is 3 m².
