A tablet is prescribed by a doctor to a patient who is suffering from iron deficiency. The tablet does not look like iron. Please explain why is it so.

Because our stomach cannot take and digest iron or ferum directly so the tablet of iron containt iron compounds which our stomach accepts and can digest.Later,this iron taken in compound form fulfills our body iron requirements.That's why iron tablets do not lokk like iron.
