The number of  shirts stitched in 15 days is 120 shirts.

The number of days required to stitch 360 shirts is 45 days.

Given: A tailor stitches 200 shirts in 25 days.

To Find: The number of shirts stitched in 15 days.

The number of days required to stitch 360 shirts

Solution:

  • We can find the solution by applying a simple unitary method.
  • It is to be kept in mind that the quantity which is unknown and is required to be found should be on the right-hand side always.

It is said that,

 In 25 days, a tailor stitches = 200 shirts

∴ In 1 day, a tailor stitches = ( 200 / 25 ) shirts.

In 15 day, a tailor stitches = ( (200 × 15) / 25 ) shirts

                                               = 120 shirts.

Again,

A tailor stitches 200 shirts in = 25 days

∴ the  tailor stitches 1 shirt in = ( 25 / 200 ) days

the  tailor stitches 360 shirts in = ( ( 25 × 360 )/ 200 ) days

                                                         = 45 days

Hence, The number of shirts stitched in 15 days is 120 shirts.

The number of days required to stitch 360 shirts is 45 days.
