The speed of B is 7.5 Km/hr.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the speed of A be x and that of B be y

Therefore 30/x - 30/y = 2

30/2x -30/y = -1

On solving we get

x = 5 km/hr and y = 7.5 km/hr

  • Let the speed of A be x km/hr.
  • Let the speed of B be y km/hr

We know that

  • Speed = Distance / time
  • Time = Distance / speed

Hence

30/x-30/y=2    ............(1)

30/x-30/2x=1    ............(2)

Adding equation (1) and (2) we get

Then, 30 - 30 = 3 x 2x

Image 6x = 30

Image x = 5 km/hr

Thus the speed of B is 7.5 Km/hr.
