Answer:

I hope it helped you

Step-by-step explanation:

Assume B takes x days to complete the work

A takes x-6 days

C takes x-8 days

1/x +1/(x-6) =1/(x-8)

(x-6+x)/x(x-6)=(2x-6)/x(x-6) =1/(x-8)

(2x-6)(x-8)=x^2–6x

2x^2–16x-6x+48=x^2–6x

x^2–16x+48=0

(x-12)(x-4) =0

x=4,12

Since A takes 6 days less than B , B can't be less than 6

So B is 12 days .

B takes 12 days

A takes 6 days

C takes 4 days

Verification

1/12 +1/6=1/4
