GIVEN

  • Principal P = rs. 3000
  • Rate r = 10%
  • Time t = 2 years

TO FIND

  • Total amount A had to pay B after 2 years

SOLUTION

we f1st calculate the Simple Interest S.I.

we know, that

 \rm S.I. = \frac{P \times  r   \times t}{100}

where,

  • P = rs. 3000
  • r = 10%
  • t = 2 years

put these values in the formula

 \rm \to S.I. = \frac{3000\times  10 \times 2}{100}

 \rm \to S.I. = \frac{60000}{100}

 \rm \to S.I. = \frac{600 \cancel{00}}{1 \cancel{00}}

 \rm \to S.I. =rs. 600

So, Simple Interest = rs. 600

Now, the total amount

=> P + S.I.

where,

  • P = rs. 3000
  • S.I. = rs. 600

put these values in above formula

  \rm\longrightarrow total \: amount = 3000 + 600

  \rm \implies rs.3600

Hence, the total amount paid by A to B after 2 years will be rs. 3600
