It is a monohybrid cross. The genotype ratio is 1:2:1 and the phenotypic ratio is 3:1. Now the question arises what are genotypic ratio and phenotypic ratio. The genotype ratio is defined as the number of times a certain genotype would appear in the offspring after a certain test cross. For a monohybrid cross it is 1:2:1. Phenotypic ratio describe the expressed characters of the organism that means the character which is expressed by the organism. It is 3:1 in ratio.

The plant type thus produced would be a monohybrid cross. 1:2:1 would be its genotype ratio where as 3:1 would be its phenotypic ratio.

What is genotypic ratio?

It is how many combinations would appear for as a hybrid after a test.

In a monohybrid cross it usually is 1:2:1.

Now what is Phenotypic ratio are the characteristic traits presents by each original plant type.

In this case, it would be 3:1
