Hello Mate!

So a tank which is opened at top = Lateral surface area + base area

Lateral surface area = 2h( l + b ) and base area = lb

= 2(6)[ 15 + 10 ] m² + (15)(10) m²

= [ 12 × 25 + 150 ] m²

= 450 m²

Now, let a sheet cover such area of cuboid.

Length of sheet × breadth of sheet = Area covered

Length × 2 m = 450 m²

Length = 450/2 or 225 m

Hence, cost of iron sheet = 225 × Rs. 5

= Rs 1125

Merry Xmas

Have great future ahead!

As tank is open at the top

So Surface area becomes 2( lb+bh+hl) - lb

= 2( bh+ hl) + lb

= 2h( b+l) + lb
= 2× 6( 10 +15) + 15× 10

= 12( 25) + 150

= 300 +150

= 450 M^2

As width of sheet is 2m
let length be l

So 2l = 450

l = 450/2 = 225

As cost is 5rs per m

so 225 m cost is 225× 5= 1125 rs
