a tank 20 m long 10m wide and 5 m deep is dug into a field 130m long and 40 m wide. the soil dug out is spread uniformly on the remaining part of the field. find the height of the soil so raised​

Let the height of the soil raised is h m.

A.T.Q :-

Volume of raised part of whole field - Volume of upper part of tank = Volume of soil dug out.

i.e

=> 130×40×h - 20×10×h = 1000

=> 5200h - 200h = 1000

=> 5000h = 1000

=> h = 1000/5000

=> h = 1/5m or 1/5 × 100cm = 20cm.
