lenghth of tank =72
width of tank. =60
hight of tank =36
so,
volume of tank = lbh
= (72)(60)(36)
= 155520 sq cm
But volume of water = lbh
=(72)(60)(18)
= 77760 sq cm
lengh of metal block =48
width of metal block = 36
hight of metal block=15
volume. =lbh
=(48)(36)(15)
= 25920 sq cm
let hight of water rises be x cm
so,
lbh = volume of metal
(72)(60)(x) = 25920
4320 x = 25920
x= 25920/4320
x = 6
Hence rise in water level = 6 cm
