A tank can be filled by pipe A in 12 hours and emptied by outlet pipes B and C in 3
and 4 hours, respectively. If pipe A and outlets B and C are kept open when the tank is
already full, find the time taken for it to get empty.​

that is A can fill 1 litres per hour

B can take off 4 lts per hour

C can take off 3 lts per hour

time taken by three together to empty tank = 12 / 1 - ( 4 + 3 ) = 12 / 6 = 2 hours
