Answer:

A+ B = 72 min

so 1/A +1/B = 1/72

1/B works for 60 min

so work done by it = 1/B× 60= 60/B

after that it is closed and only A is working

time taken to fill = 80 min

so

60/B + A = 80. also A + B = 72

solving this

B= 26 min

so A alone can fill the tank in 72-26 = 46 min
