Let the full capacity i.e. 100% be x.
so when it's 20% empty the capacity of tank is 0.8x and when it's 20% full it's capacity is 0.2x.
And 20% empty has 24 litres more capacity than 20% full.
So the equation becomes 0.8x=0.2x+24
By solving it we get x=40.
So the capacity of tank is 40 litres
