Answer:64 liters

To find how much water drained after sometime we will first find(1) 20% of 80. (2)After that we will subtract 80 from the answer we got 20% of 80.

Step-by-step explanation:

(1)

  • 20% of 80=\frac{20}{100}×80(Next step will be cancelling the zeros)

=\frac{20}{100}×80(First we will cancel the zero from 20 and 100)

=\frac{2}{10}×80(Next we will cancel the zeros from 80 and 10(100))

=\frac{2}{1}×8(now\frac{2}{1} ×8 or 2×8=16)

=16(Now we know that 20% of 80 is 16)

(2)

Next step:Now we will subtract 16 from 80 to find the remaining water left in the tank after it drain 20%

  • 80-16=64

∴64liter of water is remaining in the tank and 16liters of water was drained from the tank.
