A tank is 20m in length ,15m in breadth and 4m in depth.Find the cost of cementing its floor and four walls at the rate of Rs.45.50 per squre metre and answer is 26390 explain in detail

Given that :-
Length of tank = 20m
breadth of tank = 15 m
height of tank = 4m
Now , we have to find the area of four walls as well as the area of base .
That means , we have to find :-
Lateral surface area + area of base .
So ,
2 ( l + b ) * h + lb
By putting value of l , b and h , we get ,
2 ( 20 + 15 ) * 4 + 20 * 15
= 8 * 35 + 300
= 280 + 300
= 580 m² .
Now ,
Cost of 1m² = Rs 45.50
Cost of 580 m² = Rs ( 45.50 * 580 )
= Rs 26390 ( by calculating ) .
