Let the total no. of litres that the tank can hold be x

So 1 / 4 of x = 50

x / 4 = 50

x = 50 × 4

x = 200

So the tank can hold 200 litres

Hope it helps you.

23Yugal1: instead of 3/4 its 3/5
udit43: Than 2 / 5 of x = 50
udit43: 2x = 250
udit43: x = 125
23Yugal1: ok thanks
