x-3/5
x+50=?
X=3/5×(x+50)
X=3x+150
5x=3x+150
5x-3x+150
2x=150
X=150/2=75
So the value of x is 75
X+50=75+50
=125litres

let the capacity of tank be x litres.
(3/5)x + 50 =x
3x/5 + 50=x
3x+250/5=x
3x+250=5x
250=2x
125=x
x=125 litres
