Answer: 625

explanation:let it be of Y L

A/q

3/5 of water = 3/5 × y = 3/5y

Now,

3/5y + 250 = y

250 = y-3/5y

250 = 2/5y

Y = 250 ×5/2

= 125 × 5

= 625

A tank is 3/5 full of water.

It means that 2/5 of tank is still empty.

To fill the tank completely, 250 litres of water is needed.

So, we can say that,

To fill the 2/5 of tank,250 litres of water is needed.

So, 2/5 × Capacity of tank = 250

Capacity of tank = 250 × 5/2

Capacity of tank = 1250/ 2

Capacity of tank = 625.

So, tank can hold 625 litres of water.
