A tank is 3/5 full of water.

It means that 2/5 of tank is still empty.

To fill the tank completely, 50 litres of water is needed.

So, we can say that,

To fill the 2/5 of tank, 50 litres of water is neede.

So,

2/5 × Capacity of tank = 50

Capacity of tank = 50 × 5/2

Capacity of tank = 250 / 2

Capacity of tank = 125.

So, tank can hold 125 litres of water

Solution:

Let us assume that the total water the tank can is x Liters.

Now,

According to question,

\sf{\implies \bigg(\dfrac{3}{5}\bigg)x+50=x}

\sf{\implies \dfrac{3x}{5}+50=x}

\sf{\implies \dfrac{3x+250}{5}=x}

\sf{\implies 3x+250=5x}

\sf{\implies 250 = 5x-3x}

\sf{\implies 2x = 250}

\sf{\implies x = \dfrac{250}{2}}

\large{\boxed{\boxed{\red{\sf{\implies x = 125}}}}}

So, tank hold 125 liters.
