Answer:

D) 80

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the capacity of the tank be 80 Litres.

Given : It can be filled in 16 hours without leak.

Rate at which it fills without leakage = (80/16) = 5 Litres/hour.

Given :  Due to leakage it takes 4 more hours to fill.

So, with leakage it takes (16+4 = 20 hours)

Rate at which it fills with leakage= (80/20) = 4 Litres/hour

The rate has reduced from 5 Litres/hr to 4 Litres/hr due to Leakage, which also implies that the rate at which the leakage happens is 1 Litre/hour.

With this rate it takes 80 hours to empty a full tank.

Hope this helps :)
