Hey.

Let the tank can hold x litres of oil.

so, it's 1/3 rd will be x/3
but a/q,
x/3 - 7 =x/4
so, x/3-x/4=7
or, (4x-3x)/12=7
or, x =12×7=84

so, tank can hold 84 litres of oil.

Thanks.

Hey friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer.

Let total capacity of the tank be 'x'.

So, The tank tank is initially filled upto x/3 .

After removing 7 L it becomes x/4.

So,

 \frac{x}{3} - 7 =  \frac{x}{4}

 \frac{x}{3} -  \frac{x}{4} = 7

 \frac{x}{12} = 7

x = 84

Therefore total capacity of the tank is 84L..
