ten percent of 100 ltr is 10/100multiply by 100= 10 ltr

if 4 times kerosene replace by water means 40 ltr kerosene replace by watet

now 100 -40 =60 ltr kerosene left in the tank

The amount of kerosene left in the tank after 4 replacements is 65.61 liters.

Given:

A tank of 100 liters is filled with kerosene.

Ram replaces 10% of kerosene with water and repeats this procedure 4 times.

To find:

What is the amount of kerosene left in the tank

Solution:

From the data, 10% of kerosene is taken out

After the first replacement,

10% of 100-liter kerosene =  [10/100] × 100 = 10 liters

Thus, the amount of kerosene left in the tank is 100 - 10 = 90 liters.

After the second replacement,

10% of 90 liters of kerosene = [ 10/100] × 90 = 9 liters

Thus, the amount of kerosene left in the tank is 90 - 9 = 81 liters.

After the third replacement,

10% of 81 liters of kerosene = [ 10/100] × 81 liters = 8.1 liters

Thus, the amount of kerosene left in the tank is 81 - 8.1 = 72.9 liters.

After the fourth replacement,

10% of 72.9 liters = [10/100] × 72.9 liters = 7.29

Thus, the amount of kerosene left in the tank is 72.9 - 7.29 = 65.61 liters.

Therefore,

The amount of kerosene left in the tank after 4 replacements is 65.61 liters.
