A tank was one fifth full. When another 700 ml of water was poured into the tank, it became two third full. Find the capacity of the tank.​

Answer:

We know that 3/5 th of the tank is filled

And another data is

500 ml is poured out makes 1/2 of tank

And take x as the total capacity of tank

Let the equation be

(3/5)*x - 500 = ( 1/2 )*x

((3/5) - (1/2)) * x = 500

( 1/10 ) * x = 500

X = 5000 ml
