A tap can fill a tank in 6 hrs
In 1 hour: it fills 1/6 of the tank
Similarly, the other tap fills: 1/4 part in 1 hour
In 1 hour both fill:
1/6 + 1/4 = 2+3/12 = 5/12 part
1 part filled in 12/5 = 2.4 hours.

so first we will add tap a and tap b which is,
=)6(hours)+4(hours)=10(hours)
so by this we know that a and b tap can fill a tank together in 10 hours
