try6: 30l=6hour 45= ?
try6: 45×6/30
try6: 9h
Vishalpal07: 9 hour
Vishalpal07: 30 lit = 6 hour , 45 lit = {(6÷30)×45}= 9

Hi there !!

The following question is of the topic direct and inverse proportions

Solution:
Let x be the capacity of tank in litres
y be the time taken to fill the tank

capacity (in Litres ). 30 45
Time taken(hrs). 6 y2

it is observed that as the capacity of the tank increases , the time taken to fill it also increases

So,
The time taken is directly proportional to the capacity

using the formula, we have

 \frac{30}{6}  =  \frac{45}{y2}

y2 =  \frac{45  \times 6}{30}
y2 = 9

Thus,

the time taken to fill is 9 hours

AnuragMahapatra: yes 9hours is the correct answer
Shannya: thanks
surya197: nice bro..but i thnk this could be.made more easier
surya197: from the question we can get that 5 litrs of water had been filled per hour hour..so for 45 liters..dividing 45/5, we will get 9 hours..isnt it
ishu215: 9 is the right answer
ishu215: I have question of this type

time       volume

30   -      6
45   -       ?

6 x45/30

= 9 hours

in 9 hours it can fill a tank of capacity 45 litres

rishabhjainrj3p5viay: answer is 9 hours
Shannya: but as the capacity of tank increase the time taken to fill it will also increase,so it is inverse proportion
rajasekhar7: 9 hours buddy
atharva61: 9 hrs
