A tap can fill a tank of 30 litres in 6 hours. In how many hours it can fill a tank of capacity 45 litres

capacity it can fill in 6 hrs=30l
capacity it will fill in 1 hr=30/6=5l
time taken to fill 45l= 45/5=9

Time taken to fill 1 litre of water = 6 / 30 hours

Time taken to fill 45 litres of water = 6 / 30 ×45 hours

= 0.2 × 45 hours
= 9 hours
