Answer:

₹ 180 is the cost of fair for travelling of distance 25 km

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Let the fixed charges of taxi be ₹ x
  • Let The running charges be ₹ y km/hr

Equations

→ x + 10y = 75 ---- 1st Equation

→ x + 15y = 110 --- 2nd Equation

Subtracting equation 2  from equation 1, we get

   x + 15y = 110

   x + 10y =  75

-      -          -

_____________

   0  - 5y = -35

-5y = -35

y = \frac{-35}{-7}

⭐ y = 7 ⭐

Lets put value of y in 1st equation to get the value of x

⇒ x + 10y = 75

⇒ x + ( 10 × 7 ) = 75

⇒ x + 70 = 75

⇒ x = 75 - 70

⭐ x = 5

The Total charges from travelling a distance of 25km

= ₹ ( x + 25y )

= ₹ [ 5 + ( 25 × 7 ) ]

= ₹ ( 5 + 175 )

= ₹ 180

∴ The Cost of Fair Travelling distance of 25 km is ₹180
