A taxi charges Rs.x for first km and Rs.y per km for onwards journey. Make a formula or an algebraic expression to find the fare of taxi for n kilometres and evaluate.

charge for the 1st km= Rs x
charge for rest of the journey= Rs y
so, 
x+ny= cost
