GIVEN:

  • A taxi driver filled petrol in his car fuel tank on Monday = 40 litres
  • The next day , taxi driver filled petrol = 50 litres
  • The cost of the petrol = Rs. 44 per litre

TO FIND:

  • How much did he spend in all on petrol ?

SOLUTION:-

We have given that a taxi driver filled his car fuel tank with 40 litres of petrol on Monday and the cost of 1 litre petrol is Rs. 44

\rm{ 1\: litre = Rs. 44}

\rm{ 40 \: litres = 44 \times 40}

\large\bf{ \star \: Rs.\:  1760 \: \star }

Next day , he filled the tank with 50 litres of petrol.

\rm{\mapsto 50\: litre = 50 \times 44}

\large\bf{ \star \: Rs.\: 2200 \: \star }

Total money spend on petrol by the taxy driver:-

( Money spent on first day + money spent on second day )

\rm{\mapsto 1760 + 2200}

\large\bf{\star \: Rs. \: 3960 \: \star }

 Hence, the total money spent on petrol by the taxi driver is Rs. 3960
