Answer:

Petrol filled by taxi driver on Monday = 40 litres

Petrol filled by taxi driver on Tuesday = 50 litres

Total petrol filled = (40+50) litres = 90 litres

since, 1 litre of petrol costs Rs.44

So, Total cost = Rs. (44×90) = Rs.3960
