sample1=5x. and. sample2= 3x17

{(5x*27)+(3x*30)}/8x=225/8=

28.125=28+1/8=225/8

therefore gain=30.25-28.125
=2.125=2+1/8=17/8

17/225*100%
=17*20/45=17*4/9
=68/9=7+5/9

so b is correct answer

Answer:

the gain percent will be option b) 7(5/9)

Step-by-step explanation:

let the amount of two categories of tea in the mixture = 5 kg and 3 kg

=> cost price of 5 kg tea = 5 x 27 = 135

=> cost price of 3 kg tea = 3 x 30 = 90 Rs

=> cost price of 8 kg mixture = 135 + 90 = 225 Rs

=> cost price of 1 kg mixture = 225/8 = Rs 28.125

selling price of 1 kg of mixture = Rs 30.25

=> gain = 30.25 - 28.125 = 2.125

=> gain percent = 2.125/28.125 x 100

= 212.5/28.125

multiplying both N & D by 8

= 1700/225

dividing both N & D by 25

= 68/9

= 7 + 5/9

= 7(5/9)

Hence the gain percent will be option b) 7(5/9)
