a teacher places a small amount of liquid bromine in the bottom of a sealed gas jar of air.After 2 minutes, brown fumes were seen just above the liquid. After one hour the brown color had spread completely throughout the gas jar. USE THE KINETIC PARTICLE THEORY TO EXPLAIN THESE OBSERVATIONS

Diffusion is the name of this phenomena, it happens in liquids and solids ( Atomic diffusion ) as well although in solids it is a very slow process.In liquids it is quicker, imagine putting a drop of dye into a bowl of clear water, after a while all the water will be colored.
