Given : A teacher thinks of a number and asks her class to guess it.

a) the number is between 3500 and 3600.

b)it has two distinct digits.

c) digits in the hundreds place and tens place are different.

d) the number is odd.

To Find :  the number?

Solution:

a) the number is between 3500 and 3600.

can be 35AB    where A and B represent digits

Number has two distinct digits.

which already are 3 and 5

Hence A and B must be  one of 3 or 5

digits in the hundreds place and tens place are different.

Digit in Hundred place = 5

=> Digit in Tens place = 3

Hence  353B

Number is  odd

so Number can be 3533  or 3535

3533  and 3535  are the numbers which satisfy all the given condition
