Step-by-step explanation:

Question says that,

A team consist of engineers and doctors in the ratio 2:5.

Case (i) : Finding the number of doctors :

If we assume :

➪ No. of engineers → 2x

➪ No. of doctors → 5x

Given,

\implies 2x = 24

Solving for x :

\implies x = 24

\implies x = \dfrac{24}{2}

\therefore x = 12

Since, We have assumed 5x as the number of doctors

Therefore, No. of doctors will be :

5x = {\bf{\green{60}}}

Case (ii) : Finding the no. of engineers :

➪ No. of doctors we have = 5x (assuming)

But, no. of doctors are 45 (given)

So we can say that,

\implies 5x = 45

Solving for x :

\implies x = \dfrac{45}{5}

\implies x = 9

The number of engineers will be :

\implies 2x = {\bf{\green{18}}}
