To Find:-

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION:-

(a) P ( winning the next match ) =  \sf \frac{54}{180}  =  \frac{3}{10}

(b) the events

' Winning the next match '

' Not winning the next match '

⠀are complementry event.

Thus,

P ( Not winning the next match ) = 1 - P

( Winning the next match )

Solution :

(i) Winning next match :

 \sf \dfrac{54}{180}  =  \dfrac{ \cancel{54}}{ \cancel{180}}  = 0.3

\sf 1 - \dfrac{3}{10} = \dfrac{7}{10} = 0.7

______________________

So , the probability of winning : 0.3

probability of losing : 0.7
