\textbf{Answer}

Cost of television = 14750 Rs
Customer gets 20% of \textbf{rebate} on the cost price.

\textbf{Rebate means refund}

It means customer gets 20% refund on the cost price.

=> Customer paid = 14750 - 20% of 14750
=> Customer paid = 14750 - (14750×20)/100
=> Customer paid = 14750 - (2950)
=> Customer paid = 11800

\textbf{So customer paid 11,800 Rs.}

Given that

Cost of a television = ₹14,750

Rebate given on television = 20 %

Amount of the television after rebate = ?

Solution

Rebate on the television

 = 20\% \: of \: 14750 \\  \\  =  \frac{20}{100}  \times 14750

= ₹2,950

Amount of the television after rebate

= ₹(14,750 - 2,950)

= ₹11,800
