Given : A mobile phone is sold for Rs 5060 at a gain of 10%.  

To find : What would have been the gain or loss per cent if it had been sold for Rs 4370 ?  

The selling price is SP=Rs.5060  

The gain percent is G%=10%  

The cost price is given by,        

The cost price is Rs.4600.  

The selling price is Rs.4370.  

AS CP>SP there is a loss.  

Loss = Cost price - Selling price  

Loss = 4600- 4370  

Loss =Rs. 230  

Loss percentage is given by,    

Therefore, there is a loss of 5%.
