Given - Mass: 250 grams

Velocity: 5 m/s

Find - Change in momentum

Solution - Change in momentum can be calculated by using the formula = m(V2 - V1). In the formula, m stands for mass, V2 stands for final velocity and V1 stands for initial velocity.

Mass in Kilogram = 0.25 Kilogram

Now, speed remains the same only direction changes. Thus, negative sign will be added.

Change in momentum = 0.25*(-5-5)

Change in momentum = 0.25*-10

Change in momentum = -2.5 kg m/s

So, the change in momentum is -2.5 kg m/s.
