Hiii friend,
Radius of the cylinder (R) = 12 m
Height of the cylindrical portion (H) = 11 m
CSA of the cylindrical portion = 2πRH
=> 2 ×π × 12 × 11 =(264π) m².
Radius of cone (r) = 12m
Height of conical portion = (16-11) = 5 m
Slant Height (L) = ✓(r)²+(h)² = ✓(12)² + (5)² = ✓169 = 13 m
CSA of cone = πrl
=> (π×12×13)m² = (156π) m².
Area of canvas required to make the tent = (CSA of cylindrical portion + CSA of conical portion)
=> (264π+156π) = (420π) m².
=> 420 × 22/7
=> 1320 m².
