For the conical part:

r = \sf{\frac{4m}{2}=2m}

\sf{slant\:height=2.8m}

For the cylindrical part:

r = 2m

h = 2.1m

CSA or the whole tent = CSA of cylindrical part + CSA of a conical part.

\longrightarrow\sf{2\pi \: rh + \pi \: rl = \pi \: r(2h + l)}

\longrightarrow\sf{ \frac{22}{7}  \times 2(2 \times 2.1 + 2.8) {m}^{2}}

\longrightarrow\sf{\frac{22}{7}  \times 2(4.2 + 2.8) {m}^{2}}

\longrightarrow\sf{\frac{22}{7}  \times 2 \times 7 {m}^{2}}

\longrightarrow{\boxed{\sf{\red{{44m}^{2}}}}}

Cost of canvas required for making the tent

\longrightarrow Rs. 44 × 500

\longrightarrow Rs. 22000
