DIAMETER OF CYLINDRICAL PART OF THE TENT = 3M

RADIUS OF CYLINDRICAL PART OF THE TENT = D/2 = 3/2 = 1.5M.

HEIGHT OF CYLINDRICAL PART OF THE TENT = 2.1M.

CSA OF CYLINDRICAL PART = 2πRH = 2×22/7×1.5×2.1 = 138.6/7 = 19.8M

SLANT HEIGHT OF THE CONICAL PART OF THE TENT = 2.8M.

CSA OF CONICAL PART OF THE TENT = πRL

= 22/7×1.5×2.8 = 13.2M.

CANVAS REQUIRED FOR MARKING THE TENT = CSA OF CYLINDRICAL PART OF THE TENT+ CSA OF CONICAL PART OF THE TENT.

= 19.8+ 13.2 = 33M²

Given that,
diameter of cylinder=diameter of cone (d)= 3m
therefore radius (r)=d/2=3/2m
height of cylinder (h)=2.1m
slant height of cone (l)=2.8m
cloth of canvas required to make the tent=c.s.a of cone+c.s.a of cylinder
                                                                 =pi*r*l+2*pi*r*h
                                                                 =22/7*3/2*2.8+2*22/7*3/2*2.1
                                                                 =17.6+26.4
                                                                 =44sq.m
hope this was helpful........
