The radius and height of the cylindrical part is r = 6.3 cm  and h = 2.54 cm

Explanation:

Volume of water that can  completely fill the test tube = 5159/6 cm^3

Total volume = vol. of cylinder + vol.of hemisphere

= πr^2  h +   2/3  πr^3

5159  = πr^2  [h+  2/3 r] -------- (1)

2002  = πr^ 2  (h − 5) +   2/3  πr^3 =  πr^2  h − 5πr^ 2  +   2/3 πr^3

2002 / 3 = πr^2   [ h − 5 +   2/3  r]  ------ (2)

On solving the above equations we get:

Radius "r" = 6.3 cm

Height "h"  = 2.54 cm

Thus the radius and height of the cylindrical part is r = 6.3 cm  and h = 2.54 cm
