Given:

A test tube is cylindrical in shape with hemispherical  base of diameter 2 cm.

To find:

Find the volume of  chemical solution in the test tube.

Solution:

From the given information, we have the data as follows.

A test tube is cylindrical in shape with the hemispherical base of diameter 2 cm. It is filled with a chemical solution up to the

height of 7 cm.

The radius = d/2 = 2/2 = 1 cm

The height = h = 7 cm

The volume of the chemical solution in the test tube is equal to the sum of the volume of the cylinder and the volume of the hemisphere.

The volume of the chemical solution =  πr²h + 2/3πr³

= π × 1² × 7 + 2/3 × π × 1³

= 7π + 2/3π

= 23π/3 cm³

Therefore, the volume of chemical solution in the test tube is,  23π/3 cm³
