The percentage of workers received raise in both periods is 76%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

A textile industry raises grants twice in a year .

In The first period, percentage of workers received raise = A = 62%

In The second period, percentage of workers did not received raise = 10%

So,

In second period, percentage of workers received raise = B = ( 100 - 10 )% = 90%

Let The percentage of workers received raise in both periods = x%

Let The Total number of workers = 1000

According to question

The percentage of workers received raise in both periods = percentage of workers received raise in first period +  percentage of workers received raise in second period

The first period

percentage of workers received raise = A = 62% of 1000

i.e  A = \dfrac{62}{100}  × 1000

∴   A = 620

Again

The second period

percentage of workers received raise = B = 90% of 1000

i.e  B = \dfrac{90}{100}  × 1000

∴   B = 900

So, Total number of workers who received raise including first and second = 620 + 900

             = 1520

Now, Percentage raise = \dfrac{1520}{2000} × 100

∴                                   x = 0.76 = 76%

So, The percentage of workers received raise in both periods = x = 76%

Hence, The percentage of workers received raise in both periods is 76%  Answer
