A textile mill charges ₹ 750 for a 40 meter piece of shirting . A shopkeeper sells it at ₹ 22 per metre. What profit does he make ?​

CP of 40 metres shirting piece

= 750

SP of 1 metre shirting piece

= (750 ÷ 40)

= 18.75

SP of 1 metre

= 22

Profit

= (22 18.75)

= 3.25

He makes a profit of 3.25
